Privacy Policy

Overview

Placer Judge Watch is a static website. We do not run servers that process your requests, set tracking cookies, or build profiles of visitors. This policy explains the limited data that flows through the services we rely on to operate the site.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any behavioral tracking script.
• We do not set first-party cookies on regular visitors.
• We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal information from visitors reading the site.
• We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Infrastructure — Cloudflare

This site is served by Cloudflare Pages, part of Cloudflare's global content delivery network. Cloudflare may collect aggregate, anonymized traffic metrics (page views, bandwidth, threat scores) as part of its infrastructure services. Cloudflare does not share individual visitor data with us. Content Management — Sanity

Blog posts and editorial content are fetched from Sanity's content delivery API at build time. Your browser does not make requests to Sanity's servers when reading the site — content is pre-rendered to static HTML before deployment. See Sanity's Privacy Policy.

Whistleblower Tip Submissions

If you choose to submit a tip via the Whistleblower Hotline, the following applies:

• IP addresses are not logged. The tip submission endpoint does not record the IP address of the submitter.
• Tip content is encrypted at rest. Submissions are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being written to storage. The encryption key is never stored alongside the data.
• Contact information is optional. You may submit a tip without providing any identifying information.
• Attachments are encrypted individually. Each uploaded file is encrypted separately before storage.
• We receive a notification email when a tip is submitted. This email contains only the tip ID, timestamp, whether contact info was provided, and attachment count — not the tip content.
• Do not submit from a work device or network if you have concerns about monitoring by your employer.

Email Notifications — Resend

Tip submission notifications are delivered via Resend, a transactional email service. Resend receives the notification email metadata (sender, recipient, subject, body text) to deliver the notification. No tip content is included in notification emails. See Resend's Privacy Policy.

This site links to external websites including court portals, government agencies, and civic tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before submitting any personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our infrastructure or practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. We will not reduce your privacy protections without prominent notice.
